The Broken Hearts Memorial
Work-in-Progress Graphic
the Work-in-Progress
In August, 2009, the Memorial was installed at the Rahway Train Station Plaza with the background silhouettes already painted. At that time, the individual painting of the hearts by the artist began.

On September 12th, 2009, the City of Rahway held an Official Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and the general public was invited to participate and show their gratitude to our fallen soldiers and their families by painting a heart with the word “MOM” on the memorial.

The hearts with the word “MOM” were already stenciled on in order to make it easy for anyone who joined in. Assistance was provided by the artist on site. Since the opening date, the artist accepts public participation on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 10 am to 2pm, or by appointment (weather permitting).

Please contact info@brokenheartsmemorial.org to make an appointment.
